Bianca Miyata previously served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Consumer Fraud Unit of the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. Most recently, Bianca was co-lead counsel for a 35-state coalition suing tech giant Meta in federal court. The coalition alleged Meta designed and implemented addictive features in its social media platforms, harming a generation of young users while reassuring the public that its platforms were safe. She successfully litigated consumer protection violations against a company that created and sold false government documents and defended appeals in a major suit against a for-profit college.

Bianca is particularly passionate about working for children and underserved communities. Before joining the Consumer Fraud team, Bianca represented the Colorado Department of Human Services in a wide range of litigation in the state and federal courts, allowing $150 million in contracts to be awarded for the reform of statewide behavioral health crisis services, protecting the confidentiality of child abuse records, and shutting down childcare facilities due to complaints of child abuse and neglect.

Bianca is also an accomplished appellate attorney. She has briefed or argued cases in the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, and Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. She played a significant role on Colorado’s 303 Creative v. Elenis team at the United States Supreme Court. Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, Bianca clerked for several judges, including retired Judge Gale Miller of the Colorado Court of Appeals. She also served as Motions and Jurisdiction Counsel for the Court.

Bianca graduated from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2006. Before studying law, she worked as a Human Resources Expert for a leading international strategy consulting firm in Munich, Germany and earned a B.A. in International Affairs and German Studies from Lewis & Clark College in 2000.

In her spare time, Bianca mentors law students through the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Colorado’s Mentorship Program.
