Samara has tried a wide variety of high-stakes matters, including contract, antitrust, patent, property, shareholder, and products liability disputes.

Since joining Olson Grimsley in early 2024, Samara has served as trial counsel in three separate plaintiff-side matters, resulting in:

  • a $60 million compensatory damages verdict against Mead Johnson, the maker of Enfamil, for causing necrotizing enterocolitis in premature infants;

  • a $20+ million judgment against Johns Manville, a Berkshire Hathaway company, for unlawfully monopolizing the market for calcium silicate pipe insulation; and

  • a settlement and deadlocked jury against two makers of Zantac for causing her client’s prostate cancer.

Before joining Olson Grimsley, Samara was at Bartlit Beck where, among other things, she served as trial counsel for Align Technology in several arbitrations against SmileDirectClub (“SDC”). Samara helped recover $63 million in favor of Align and complete defense victories against SDC.

Samara graduated order of the coif from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law.

She clerked for the Honorable Mary Schroeder of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Before law school, Samara worked as an urban planner throughout the American West.
