Isabel Broer previously served as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the K-12 Education Unit at the Colorado Attorney General’s Office. There, she provided general counsel services to the Colorado State Board of Education, and the Colorado Department of Education and represented them in state and administrative courts. She played significant roles on the 303 Creative v. Elenis team at the United States Supreme Court and on a groundbreaking case at the Colorado Supreme Court.
Isabel is committed to community service. She mentors two students through Law School Yes We Can and volunteers with the Colorado Women’s Bar Association. Isabel participated in the 2023 class of the Colorado Bar Association’s Leadership Training (COBALT) Program. At the Attorney General’s Office, she led the legal internship program and co-founded and managed book clubs on diversity, equity, and inclusion and innovation. The Attorney General’s Office awarded her the DEI Champion award in 2022 and the Rookie of the Year award in 2021, among other awards.
Before joining the Attorney General’s Office, Isabel clerked for Judge Christine Arguello of the U.S. District Court of Colorado and for Justice Monica Márquez of the Colorado Supreme Court.
Isabel graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in political science in 2010 and then taught high school math in the Denver Public Schools. She graduated in 2016 from Harvard Law School, where she served as the President of the Board of Student Advisers.
